Thermal transfer ribbons
Thermal transfer ribbons are elements of printing labels with increased resistance to external conditions.
Description
These are thin foil ribbons coated with temperature-sensitive dye. As a result of printing on bar code printers, under the influence of temperature, the dye is deposited on the printed surface. Depending on the durability of the required printing and the type of the base that we are printing on, we may use several types of ribbons. All types of ribbons are available at different widths and lengths, adjusted to individual needs of Customers.
- Wax ribbons: an economic version of the tape, perfect for paper or cardboard printing. It may be also used for printing coated foils. They constitute a popular solution in case of printers equipped with flat heads.
- Resin ribbons: perfect for permanent printing. They may be used for applying information on labels that are subject to high temperatures, high humidity, effects of chemicals. It is especially suitable for printing of different types of foils.
- Mixed wax and resin ribbons: a compromise between an economic aspect and higher durability. Their application shall be preceded with in-depth tests.
